Q-orders with no unit on Q

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2022
For a usual commutative quantale Q (does not necessarily have a unit), we propose a definition of Q-ordered sets by introducing a kind of self-adaptive self-reflexivity. We study their completeness and the related Q-modules of complete lattices. The main result is that, the complete Q-ordered sets and the Q-modules of complete lattices are categorical ...

Units in noncommutative orders

2006
Let $A$ be a finite-dimensional algebra over the rational number field $\Bbb Q$. A subring $\Gamma$ with the same unit element is called an order if $\Gamma$ is a finitely generated $\Bbb Z$-submodule such that $\Gamma$ contains a $\Bbb Q$-basis of $A$. Although the unit group $U(\Gamma)$ of $\Gamma$ is finitely generated, the determination of a finite

Ordered *-Algebras with an Order Unit

Communications in Algebra, 2015
We develop a theory of ordered *-algebras with an order unit. These are complex algebras equipped with a conjugate-linear vector space involution whose hermitian elements form an ordered real algebra with an order unit but not necessarily with a multiplicative identity.

UNITS FOR THE TIME-ORDERED FOCK MODULE

Infinite Dimensional Analysis, Quantum Probability and Related Topics, 2001
We give an explicit formula for all continuous units for the product system associated with an arbitrary time-ordered Fock module over a two-sided Hilbert ℬ-module. Like in the case of the symmetric Fock space, the units may be considered as exponential vectors to indicator function possibly renormalized by a semigroup.

Unit and Proper Tube Orders

Order, 2008
This note continues the exploration of ``tube orders'', a generalization of interval orders and of trapezoidal orders introduced in [\textit{J. D. Laison}, ``Tube representations of ordered sets'', Order 21, No.~3, 207--230 (2004; Zbl 1076.06004)]. A tube of dimension \(n\) is formed by taking lines \(B_1, \dots, B_n\) in \(n\)-dimensional Euclidean ...

Rank-ordered regulation of motor units

Muscle & Nerve, 1996
Myoelectric signals were detected from the tibialis anterior muscle of 5 subjects with a quadrifilar needle electrode while the subjects generated isometric forces that increased linearly with time (10% of maximal voluntary contraction/s) up to maximal voluntary level.

UNITS OF CLASSICAL ORDERS: A SURVEY

1994
A valuable account on theorems and methods for the investigation of unit groups of orders in semisimple \(\mathbb{Q}\)-algebras \(A\) is given. Having in mind Dirichlet's unit theorem as the most classical fact in this area, the author presents a number of generalizations and structural results on unit groups which enable him, at the end of this ...
