On the Partially Ordered Monoid Generated by the Operators H, S, P, Ps on Classes of Algebras
Let H, S, P be the standard operators on classes of algebras of the same type and Ps be the operator of closure under subdirect products. In this paper the monoid generated by class operators H, S, P, Ps and the corresponding partially ordered set are ...

REWRITING SYSTEMS AND ORDERINGS ON ARTIN MONOIDS
International Journal of Algebra and Computation, 2007In this paper we introduce a complete rewriting system on any large-type Artin monoid. The rewriting system stems from a well-ordering defined by Burckel on the related class of braid monoids. As a consequence of our rewriting system's existence we will recover the fact that certain large-type monoids are well-orderable, and we will discern finer ...

On lax epimorphisms of partially ordered monoids
International Journal of Algebra and Computation, 2023Epimorphisms in the category of partially ordered monoids may not be surjective. We prove that lax epimorphisms in the category of partially ordered monoids are surjective. We further show that lax epimorphisms in the said category coincide with coinserters. Our results also generalize to partially ordered semigroups.

The Monoids of Order Eight and Nine
2008We describe the use of symbolic algebraic computation allied with AI search techniques, applied to the problem of the identification, enumeration and storage of all monoids of order 9 or less. Our approach is novel, using computer algebra to break symmetry and constraint satisfaction search to find candidate solutions.

Finite J-Trivial Monoids and Partially Ordered Monoids
1987An important result in the theory of automata, due to Imre Simon, characterizes the recognizable languages whose syntactic monoids are J-trivial. This theorem has an easy, although not entirely obvious, restatement as a global structure theorem for finite J-trivial monoids, asserting that every finite J-trivial monoid is a quotient of a finite monoid ...
