Abstract The linear‐quadratic regulator (LQR) problem of optimal control of an uncertain discrete‐time linear system (DTLS) is revisited in this paper from the perspective of Tikhonov regularization. We show that an optimally chosen regularization parameter reduces, compared to the classical LQR, the values of a scalar error function, as well as the ...

ABSTRACT Autistic individuals exhibit altered perceptual and visuomotor behaviors, potentially due to reduced cortical specialization. The current study focuses on handedness, a robust marker of cerebral specialization, which is less right‐biased in autism.

ToM2: Parental Perception of Theory of Mind Abilities in Autistic Children
ABSTRACT Understanding how parents perceive their children's abilities is crucial for family dynamics and intervention strategies, particularly in autism, where accurate parental assessment of social‐cognitive capabilities can influence support approaches and developmental outcomes. This study introduces ToM2, a novel measure examining parents' ability

Prescribing competence: The pros and cons of different methods for assessment
Evaluating a medical graduate’s competence in rational prescribing is challenging. With the aim to guide and inspire teachers, this narrative review explores different methods that can be used to assess prescribing competence. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, and thus a mix of different assessment methods is needed throughout the ...

Abstract Aims In the context of pharmacology and toxicology education, there is a growing shift toward programmatic assessment models that prioritize longitudinal learning, reflection and development of higher‐order cognitive skills. As part of this transition, we are exploring alternative and more meaningful forms of assessment. This qualitative study

Measures under the flat norm as ordered normed vector space
Positivity, 2017The space of all real Borel measures \(\mathcal{M}(S)\) on a metric space \(S\) is usually considered by the variational norm. In this paper the authors consider that space under the \textit{flat norm}; i.e., as a linear subspace of the dual of Lip\((S)\), the space of bounded Lipschitz continuous functions on \(S\) endowed by the usual Lipschitz norm.
