Incident duration model on urban freeways using Ordered Probit Model

2010 International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing, 2010
Effective traffic incident management requires a full understanding of the various corresponding properties to accurately estimate incident durations and to benefit decision makings of reducing the impact of non-recurring incident relevant congestions. This paper incorporates discrete choice theory in incident duration prediction.

Automobile Ownership Analysis Using Ordered Probit Models

Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2002
A mathematical model developed to predict automobile ownership for individual households residing in New York City is presented. This effort is distinguished from previous disaggregate household-level automobile ownership models primarily by the use of ordered probit models rather than the commonly used multinominal logit (MNL) and sequential logit (SL)

A Bivariate Ordered Probit Model with Truncation: Helmet Use and Motorcycle Injuries

Applied Statistics, 1993
Summary: I consider an ordered probit model in which some of the observations in one categories are missing. The model can be estimated because of a second variable with a similar truncation scheme. The second variable has the effect of increasing the number of categories quadratically while only increasing the number of parameters linearly. This model
