Categorical linearly ordered structures

Annals of Pure and Applied Logic, 2019
We prove that for every computable limit ordinal $\alpha$ there exists a computable linear ordering $\mathcal{A}$ which is $\Delta^0_\alpha$-categorical and $\alpha$ is smallest such, but nonetheless for every isomorphic computable copy $\mathcal{B}$ of $\mathcal{A}$ there exists a $\beta< \alpha$ such that $\mathcal{A} \cong_{\Delta^0_\beta ...

The Structure of Random Graph Orders

SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, 1997
Summary: The random graph order \(P_{n,p}\) is defined by taking a random graph \(G_{n,p}\) on vertex set \([n]\), treating an edge \(ij\) with \(i\prec j\) in \([n]\) as a relation \(id>> N(0,1)\).

ON THE ORDER STRUCTURE OF THE HYPERREAL LINE

Mathematical Logic Quarterly, 1983
The paper concerns an investigation of order types of various structures nonstandardly defined from enlargements of real numbers. For beginners in nonstandard analysis the reading of the paper is a quite nice exercise. Algebraists may find it interesting that nonstandard analysis affords a fine model material on one hand and an apparatus for the ...

The Structure of Preference Orders

2015
Preferences are an important natural concept in real life and are well-known in the database and artificial intelligence community. Modeling preferences as strict partial orders closely matches people’s intuition. There are many algorithms for the evaluation of these strict partial orders.

Fuzzy ordered structures and fuzzy lattice ordered groups

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2014
Fuzzy (lattice valued) posets are investigated with the order being a fuzzy relation on a fuzzy set. In this framework, fuzzy chains and generally fuzzy lattices are investigated. These are applied to fuzzy lattice ordered subgroups of lattice ordered groups.

Higher-Order Quadruplex Structures

2012
Structural studies have shown that four G-tracts along a DNA strand are the minimal requirement for intramolecular G-quadruplex formation. Longer DNA sequences containing multiples of four G-tracts could, in principle, form higher-order structures based on multiple G-quadruplex blocks.
