Abstract This work was motivated by Problem 49-4 from “IMAGE” Issue Number 49, p. 52, Fall 2012 which was proposed by Rajesh Pereira. Seeking the solution to the problem led to the discovery of some interesting results on ordered vector spaces. It is shown that up to an isomorphism, there is only one order on a finite dimensional real vector space ...

Integrals for functions with values in a partially ordered vector space. [PDF]
We consider integration of functions with values in a partially ordered vector space, and two notions of extension of the space of integrable functions. Applying both extensions to the space of real valued simple functions on a measure space leads to the

Nonstandard hulls of lattice-normed ordered vector spaces [PDF]
Nonstandard hulls of a vector lattice were introduced and studied in \cite{E10,E9,E7,E5,E3}. In recent paper \cite{EG}, these notions were extended to ordered vector spaces. In the present paper, following the construction of associated Banach-Kantorovich space \cite{E8}, we describe and investigate nonstandard hull of a lattice-normed space, which is ...

The Archimedean order unitization of seminormed ordered vector spaces
In this paper, we describe a way of turning a seminormed preordered vector space into an Archimedean order unit space. We show that this construction satisfies a universal property similar to that of the Archimedeanization of Paulsen and Tomforde, and we give a number of applications of our result in ordered vector spaces and in matrix ordered operator

Collective Order Boundedness of Sets of Operators Between Ordered Vector Spaces [PDF]
It is proved that: each collectively order continuous set of operators from an Archimedean ordered vector space with a generating cone to an ordered vector space is collectively order bounded; and each collectively order-to-norm bounded set of operators ...

Collisionless media devoid of intrinsic stresses, for example, a dispersed phase in a multiphase medium, have a much wider variety of space-time structures and features formed in them than collisional media, for example, a carrier, gas, or liquid phase ...

Ext-LOUDS: A Space Efficient Extended LOUDS Index for Superset Query
Superset query is widely used in object-oriented databases, data mining, and many other fields. Trie is an efficient index for superset query, whereas most existing trie index aim at improving query performance while ignoring storage overheads.

An algebraic ordered extension of vector space
In this paper we have discussed an algebraic ordered extension of vector space. This new structure comprises a semigroup structure, a scalar multiplication and a compatible partial order.

Subharmonic envelopes for functions on domains
One of the most common problems in various fields of real and complex analysis is the questions of the existence and construction for a given function of an envelope from below or from above of a function from a special class H. We consider a case when H

Note on the Hahn-Banach Theorem in a Partially Ordered Vector Space
Using a fixed point theorem in a partially ordered set, we give a new proof of the Hahn-Banach theorem in the case where the range space is a partially ordered vector space.
