Attractors of Ordinary Differential Equations

The author gives sufficient conditions for the existence of polynomial attractors for ODEs. This problem is generally treated by perturbation techniques. Here, the author uses Lyapunov vector functions and introduces the notion of polynomial asymptotic equilibrium.

This paper presents a performance comparison of three parallel algorithms for the solution of sets of coupled first-order differential equations. A general format for comparison of the algorithms is given, and performance equations for the two processor cases are developed.
