Spin characters of generalized symmetric groups
In 1911 Schur computed the spin character values of the symmetric group using two important ingredients: the first one later became famously known as the Schur Q-functions and the second one was certain creative construction of the projective characters ...

Non-Abelian Finite Gauge Theories [PDF]
We study orbifolds of ${\cal N} = 4$ U(n) super-Yang-Mills theory given by discrete subgroups of SU(2) and SU(3). We have reached many interesting observations that have graph-theoretic interpretations.

Classification of free actions on complete intersections of four quadrics [PDF]
In this paper we classify all free actions of finite groups on Calabi-Yau complete intersection of 4 quadrics in $\PP^7$, up to projective equivalence. We get some examples of smooth Calabi-Yau threefolds with large nonabelian fundamental groups. We also

Jordan cells in logarithmic limits of conformal field theory
It is discussed how a limiting procedure of conformal field theories may result in logarithmic conformal field theories with Jordan cells of arbitrary rank. This extends our work on rank-two Jordan cells.

Communication and Language Profiles of Children Treated for Posterior Fossa Brain Tumors
ABSTRACT Background Cognitive and language deficits are frequently reported sequelae of posterior fossa brain tumors (PFBT). Typically, delayed onset impedes prompt assessment and early intervention. This has devastating implications for quality of life.

Heterotic compactifications with principal bundles for general groups and general levels [PDF]
We examine to what extent heterotic string worldsheets can describe arbitrary E8xE8 gauge fields. The traditional construction of heterotic strings builds each E8 via a Spin(16)/Z2 subgroup, typically realized as a current algebra by left-moving fermions,

ABSTRACT Introduction Characterizing stressful events reported by childhood cancer survivors experienced throughout the lifespan may help improve trauma‐informed care relevant to the survivor experience. Methods Participants included 2552 survivors (54% female; 34 years of age) and 469 community controls (62% female; 33 years of age) from the St.

The Sato-Tate conjecture for Hilbert modular forms
We prove the Sato-Tate conjecture for Hilbert modular forms. More precisely, we prove the natural generalisation of the Sato-Tate conjecture for regular algebraic cuspidal automorphic representations of $\GL_2(\A_F)$, $F$ a totally real field, which are ...

Abelian Surfaces over totally real fields are Potentially Modular [PDF]
We show that abelian surfaces (and consequently curves of genus 2) over totally real fields are potentially modular. As a consequence, we obtain the expected meromorphic continuation and functional equations of their Hasse--Weil zeta functions.

Abstract Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is an autosomal recessive hemoglobinopathy affecting millions of individuals worldwide. The clinical expression and psychosocial burden of SCD vary widely across geographical, cultural, and healthcare system contexts, underscoring the need for setting‐specific approaches to assessment.
