Sheep Horn Development Revealed by Multi‐Tissue and Cross‐Species Transcriptomic Analysis
Multi‐tissue and cross‐species transcriptomics with allele‐specific expression show sheep horns are a composite organ integrating epidermal and osteogenic programs. Conserved horn gene modules and cis‐regulatory variation fine‐tune expression networks underlying horn development and size (small scurs vs. large spiral horns).

Active tectonics of the Ordos Plateau, China [PDF]
This thesis is concerned with the active tectonics of the Ordos Plateau in northern China, an apparently non-deforming portion of continental lithosphere that sits at the northeastern edge of the India-Eurasia collision zone.

Geochemical characteristics and paleoclimate implication of Middle Jurassic coal in the Ordos Basin, China [PDF]
Coals are highly enriched in critical elements (rare earth elements, etc.), containing much information of paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic during deposition. The Jurassic period is a significant coal-forming period in the world. The Yan'an Formation

Boosting Sodium Storage Activity and Kinetics of Hard Carbon by Remodeling Oxygen Chemistry
A surface oxygen remodeling strategy is proposed to finely furnish the pseudographitic structure of hard carbon with rich closed pores and expanded interlayer spacings. Accordingly, the sodiation reactivity and kinetics are greatly reinforced to afford an elevated capacity of 360 mAh g−1 and outstanding rate capability of 225 mAh g−1 at 2 A g−1 ...

Through shear–tensile creep tests and viscoelastic modeling, the fracture evolution of thick soft protective layers is clarified. Results show thickness‐dependent rheological failure modes that govern four types of roof water inrush, providing a mechanism‐based framework for hazard prediction and control. Abstract In the Jurassic coal‐bearing strata of

Locking Fe Single Atoms Into the Lattices of Mesoporous TiO2 Promotes Nitrogen Reduction
S‐coordinated Fe single‐atom catalysts on mesoporous TiO2 have been constructed by a universal lattice‐confined strategy. This catalyst shows a unique nanoconfinement effect for mass transfer and maximizes the active sites to mimic nitrogenase for ambient electrocatalytic N2 reduction reaction.

Flushing again in Ordos ? [PDF]
Water is a scarce resource, especially in the arid plains of Inner Mongolia. In 2003, the Stockholm Environment Institute in collaboration with a local district of Ordos started to implement a project of eco-sanitation and tested dry toilets.
