Ore deposits

Reviews of Geophysics, 1995
Metallic ore deposits constitute the largest geochemical anomalies within the crust. Their study has been critical to understanding the behavior of elements and isotopes in mineral‐ and rock‐ forming processes, as well as to deciphering the geochemical differentiation of the Earth through time.

Magmatic Ore Deposits

2011
A magmatic ore deposit is an accumulation of magmatic minerals. Some of these minerals are extremely rare and almost never encountered in common rocks, an example being alloys of the platinum metals; other minerals, such as magnetite, are common and can be seen in most thin sections.
