Abstract After a twenty‐five‐year hiatus, the reappearance of utopian literature in 1957 prompted Soviet literary watchdogs to corral the subgenre into an ideologically‐acceptable mold. A key requirement was for future generations to be depicted as reverently commemorating the past.

A validated HPLC‐FLD analytical method for the determination of aflatoxins, zearalenone, and ochratoxin A in cereals was applied to the analysis of 402 samples collected in Italy from 2013 to 2023 and to perform a risk assessment evaluation for the Italian population. Prevalence of contaminated samples was generally low and restricted to maize samples.

The concentrations of heavy metal salts (Pb, Cd, Co, and Zn), which have an inhibitory effect on the growth of Bacillus bacteria, were determined using the method of successive dilutions.
