Covalently Integrated Selenoviologen–N‐Heterocyclic Carbene–Pt Nanoparticles for Visible‐Light‐Driven Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A covalently integrated single‐component photocatalyst is constructed by anchoring selenoviologen to platinum nanoparticles via robust N‐heterocyclic carbene ligands. The resulting Pt─C covalent bonds function dually as protective structural scaffolds and direct channels for ultrafast intramolecular electron transfer This precise interfacial ...

Comparing classical and empirical end correction models using spatial pressure measurements in flue pipes

open access: yesActa Acustica
This study evaluates end-correction behavior in flue organ pipes by comparing two models: the classical low-frequency expression of Levine and Schwinger and the empirical, frequency-dependent refinement of Davies et al.

Molecular‐Level Pore Engineering for Precise Separation via Active Solvent‐Mediated Interfacial Polymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that microemulsion solvents can actively template molecular‐level pores within selective layer during interfacial polymerization. By creating localized quasi‐homogeneous polymerization zones, the membrane achieved a 7.1‐fold enhancement in water permeance with increased selectivity.

Investigating polynomial approximations for the spectra of the pipe organ sound

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2004
An attempt was made to find some features describing the shape of the spectra of organ pipe sounds in terms of their subjective discernibility. A multi-channel recording system was employed in order to represent reliable pipe sounds in a realistic ...

From Materials to Systems: Challenges and Solutions for Fast‐Charge/Discharge Na‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically analyzes the key characteristics limiting the fast‐charge/discharge capability of Na‐ion batteries (SIBs) from a multi‐scale perspective encompassing electrode materials, the electrode‐electrolyte interface, and the system. Furthermore, it presents practical solution strategies for the fundamental issues arising at each scale,

Synthesis of functionalized polyolefins in a new continuous bench‐scale reactor apparatus

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract In‐reactor functionalized polyolefins (FPOs), produced by molecular catalysts, are a new class of polymer materials with applications ranging from high performance adhesives to bitumen compatibilization. In this work, we disclose a procedure for the synthesis of FPOs in a new Continuous Bench‐scale Reactor Apparatus (COBRA).
