Ion‐Selective Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, 2014
Ion-selective organic electrochemical transistors with sensitivity to potassium approaching 50 μA dec(-1) are demonstrated. The remarkable sensitivity arises from the use of high transconductance devices, where the conducting polymer is in direct contact with a reference gel electrolyte and integrated with an ion-selective membrane.

High‐Performance Vertical Organic Electrochemical Transistors [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, 2017
AbstractOrganic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) are promising transducers for biointerfacing due to their high transconductance, biocompatibility, and availability in a variety of form factors. Most OECTs reported to date, however, utilize rather large channels, limiting the transistor performance and resulting in a low transistor density.

Diffusion Driven Selectivity in Organic Electrochemical Transistors [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2014
Organic Electrochemical transistors (OECTs) present unique features for their strategic combination with biomedical interfaces, simple and low voltage operation regime and sensing ability in aqueous environment, but they still lack selectivity, so that a significant effort in research is devoted to overcome this limitation.
