Leveraging Electrons for Electrochemical CO2 Capture Using a Hemi‐Labile Iron Complex

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We present an electrochemical CO2 capture system using coordination complex with an iron center and hemi‐labile ligands. This system achieves an electron utilization of 1.43 by leveraging oxidation‐state‐dependent ligand coordination, enabling efficient CO2 separation from flue gas with low energy consumption and high cyclability.

Development, validation, and preliminary phenotypic characterization of a Col6a3 knockout mouse model targeting exon 3

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Deleting Col6a3 exon 3 by CRISPR in mice results in centralized nuclei consistent with a myopathy phenotype mimicking collagen VI‐associated human disease Abstract Background Most mutations in the COL6A3 gene lead to collagen VI‐related myopathies. This is due to a reduced expression or mislocalization of the COL6A3 protein.

Facet Engineering and Fe─N─Co Bridged Heterojunction Enable Fe3O4@C@ZIF67 as High‐Performance Photocatalyst for Ammonia Synthesis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This study introduces an Fe3O4@C@ZIF67 core‐shell photocatalyst featuring an Fe─N─Co Z‐scheme heterojunction. The design incorporates carbon‐coated Fe3O4 within ZIF67‐D, exposing (211) crystalline facets to enhance nitrogen adsorption. Abstract Ammonia synthesis is vital for global fertilizer production but traditionally relies on the energy‐intensive ...

Fast Seawater Desalination Driven by Efficient Nitrate Reduction via Bimetallic Iron/Zinc Polyphthalocyanine Frameworks

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Bimetallic Fe/Zn polyphthalocyanine frameworks enable highly efficient and selective electrochemical reduction of nitrate to ammonia. When integrated into an electrocatalytic desalination device, this reaction facilitates rapid salt ion mass transfer, allowing the conversion of natural seawater into drinkable water and simultaneously converting nitrate

Interfacial Photoelectrochemistry in Organic Synthesis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
Photoelectrodes have traditionally enjoyed widespread attention as heterogeneous catalysts for the activation of water and CO2 in energy research, while photoelectrochemistry with homogeneous molecular catalysts dominates the activations of more complex molecules in organic synthesis.
