Investigation on tunnel stability considering pipe‐roof support with transparent soil technology
This study integrates transparent soil technology, 3D reconstruction and numerical simulation to captures the full‐field deformation of shield tunnel instability. Results demonstrate that pipe‐roof support enhances stability via the “soil‐arching barrier effect,” effectively restraining failure wedge development by extending stress transfer paths ...

This study reports the exceptional preservation of the Eocene freshwater bivalve Batissa sitakaraensis from Hokkaido, Japan. Multimodal analyses reveal that both the aragonitic shell mineralogy and the delicate organic periostracum retain their original structural and chemical characteristics after millions of years.

Integrated petrographic, mineralogical and geochemical data from the Hastanetepe Pb–Zn deposit (Balya, Türkiye) reveal multi‐stage hydrothermal alteration and a magmatic sulphur source. Fluid inclusion and sulphur isotope results indicate a complex fluid evolution responsible for skarn‐type Pb–Zn mineralization along limestone–dacite contacts ...

The impact of Mg contents on Sr partitioning in benthic foraminifers [PDF]
Foraminiferal calcite Mg/Ca (Mg/CaCC) is used in paleoceanographic studies to reconstruct temperature. Furthermore, the Mg/CaCC is influenced by different seawater Mg/Ca (Mg/CaSW).

The study outlines the tectono‐sedimentary evolution of the İnegöl Basin in north‐western Anatolia. Basin formation was controlled by interacting extensional and strike‐slip fault systems linked to uplift of the Uludağ Massif. Terrestrial sedimentation from the Miocene to Pleistocene is reconstructed using abundant fossil mammal assemblages that ...

Quaternary ecological responses and impacts of the Indian Ocean Summer Monsoon at Nam Co, Southern Tibetan Plateau [PDF]
The transition from the Last Glacial to the current Interglacial, the Holocene, represents an important period with climatic and environmental changes impacting ecosystems. In this study, we examined the interplay between the Indian Ocean Summer Monsoon (

Chemical states of Se and Br atoms in the KPg boundary sediments from Stevns Klint were studied using XAFS spectroscopy. The high concentrations of Se4+ could become an index of the degree to which the global environment was soiled with dust and ash derived from impact ejecta or volcanic eruptions.
