Effects of Organic Manures and Non-chemical Weed Control on Wheat: I-Plant Growth and Grain Yield

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences, 2012
Organic wheat yield is limited by climatic and agronomic factors including nutrient deficiency, weed competition and no suitable cultivars. The effects of organic manures and non-chemical weed control on grain yield of wheat were investigated during the ...

The gut microbiome promotes the growth performance of black soldier fly larvae by detoxifying uric acid

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the detrimental effects of exogenous uric acid (UA) on the growth of black soldier fly (BSF) larvae, highlighting the role of gut microbiota in UA degradation. We isolated UA‐degrading bacterial strains associated with BSF, including Enterococcus faecalis AHAU24.

Resistome flow in global landfill systems

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
Global landfill systems represent key hubs of resistome, serving as dynamic reservoirs and amplifiers through plasmid‐driven gene mobility. Waste flows and environmental pathways sustain the transboundary resistome networks, accelerating resistance dissemination across ecosystems.

REDUCTION OF LEAKAGE FROM ORGANIC MANURE

open access: yesEnvironment. Technology. Resources. Proceedings of the International Scientific and Practical Conference, 2001
Environmental problems of leakage minimisation from solid manure handling in Latvia are discussed. Volume and composition of leakage from solid manure are investigated in storage period. Amount of plant nutrients in effluents are measured 0,099 kg nitrogen, 0,029 kg phosphorus and 0,381 kg potassium per tonne manure in 14-day period of accumulation and
