Organic Semiconductor Based Devices for Solar Water Splitting
Solution processable organic semiconductors are well‐established as high‐performance materials for inexpensive and scalable solar energy conversion in organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices, but their promise in the economic conversion of solar energy into ...

Diagnostic analysis via the heterojunction validation funnel. The funnel illustrates the hierarchical stratification of 30 reported Type‐II systems based on the three‐phase, seven‐step diagnostic framework. Complete validation through all phases is achieved by only 3.3% of systems, while 96.7% lack full mechanistic validation, revealing a pervasive ...

Inversion of Magnetoresistance in Organic Semiconductors [PDF]
We report that organic semiconductors such as alpha-sexithiophene (alpha-6T) have magnetoresistance (MR) with unexpected sign changes; depending on applied voltage, temperature, and layer thickness, the resistance may either increase or decrease upon application of a small magnetic field (

A cooperative and competitive interrelationship between alcohol oxidation (AOR) and water oxidation (OER) was observed on a typical anode catalyst of Ni2P. In situ Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical analyses revealed a specific complementary mechanism between them, in which OER and AOR critically contribute to the activity and stability of anodic ...

Some applications of organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) require large area, high light output, and high uniformity. It is difficult to achieve these attributes simultaneously because of voltage drops in the contacts, which cannot easily satisfy high ...

All‐solution‐processed, low‐cost extended short‐wavelength infrared photodetectors are realized by coupling colloidal HgTe quantum dots to plasmonic In2O3:Sn,F nanocrystals. Localized surface plasmon resonances boost and spectrally tailor light absorption between 1500 and 3000 nm, enabling responsivities above 40 A W−1.

A trade‐off between efficiency and stability in a class of sky‐blue organic light‐emitting diodes
The stability of organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) is a key requirement for their use in commercial displays. One approach to increase the performance of the blue subpixel is to use thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters, which ...
