An air-stable DPP-thieno-TTF copolymer for single-material solar cell devices and field effect transistors [PDF]
Following an approach developed in our group to incorporate tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) units into conjugated polymeric systems, we have studied a low band gap polymer incorporating TTF as a donor component.

PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...

Quantifying Losses in Open-Circuit Voltage in Solution-Processable Solar Cells [PDF]
The maximum open-circuit voltage of a solar cell can be evaluated in terms of its ability to emit light. We herein verify the reciprocity relation between the electroluminescence spectrum and subband-gap quantum efficiency spectrum for several ...

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.
