Small molecule tandem organic photovoltaic cells incorporating an α-NPD optical spacer layer [PDF]
We report an improvement in power conversion efficiency in a small molecule tandem organic photovoltaic (OPV) device by the optimisation of current balancing of the sub-cells using an optical spacer layer. A co-deposited layer of N,N’-bis(1-naphthyl)-N,N′

Semitransparent Organic Solar Cells
The organic solar cell technology has attracted great interests due to its potential of low cost solution process capability. Bulk heterojunction organic solar cells offer a potentially much cheaper alternative way to harness solar energy, and can be made flexible and large area. They can also be made translucent and in different colors.

Bulk Heterojunction versus Diffused Bilayer: The Role of Device Geometry in Solution p-Doped Polymer-Based Solar Cells [PDF]
We exploit the effect of molecular p-type doping of P3HT in diffused bilayer (DB) polymer solar cells. In this alternative device geometry, the p-doping is accomplished in solution by blending the F4-TCNQ with P3HT.

ITO-free laminated concept for flexible organic solar cells
S.449-453In this paper, we present laminated concept for indium tin oxide (ITO)-free organic solar cells (OSC). This concept omits the need of electrode deposition on top of organic layers and thus gives freedom of choice for the electrodes and the ...
