Self-standing chitosan films as dielectrics in organic thin-film transistors

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2013
Organic thin film transistors, using self-standing 50 µm thick chitosan films as dielectric, are fabricated using sublimed pentacene or two conjugated polymers deposited by spin coating as semiconductors.

Growth of large-size-two-dimensional crystalline pentacene grains for high performance organic thin film transistors

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2012
New approach is presented for growth of pentacene crystalline thin film with large grain size. Modification of dielectric surfaces using a monolayer of small molecule results in the formation of pentacene thin films with well ordered large crystalline ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Small contact resistance and high-frequency operation of flexible low-voltage inverted coplanar organic transistors

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
The widespread adoption of organic thin-film transistors (TFTs) in low-voltage high-frequency device applications is impeded by the contact resistance in the TFTs.

Organic transistors based on pentacene and dibenzothiophene derivatives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This thesis is concerned with the fabrication and characterisation of organic thin film transistors. Initially, pentacene thin films were investigated, with results comparable to those found in published literature.

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance
