A pentacene-based organic thin film memory transistor [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2009
An organic memory device based on a pentacene thin film transistor is demonstrated. Gold nanoparticles have been used as the charge storage elements while a thin film of polymethylmethacrylate formed the gate insulator. The electrical characteristics and the memory behavior of the organic thin film memory transistor (OTFMT) are reported.

Organic Thin Film Transistor Integration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Research on organic electronics (or plastic electronics) is driven by the need to create systems that are lightweight, unbreakable, and mechanically flexible. With the remarkable improvement in the performance of organic semiconductor materials during the past few decades, organic electronics appeal to innovative, practical, and broad-impact ...

Flexography Printing for Organic Thin Film Transistors [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Today: Proceedings, 2018
Abstract High throughput manufacture is of key importance for flexible electronics based on functional organic thin films. One challenge in particular is patterning at high speeds. In this paper results are presented of in-vacuum patterning of an organic dielectric, which has been used in organic thin film transistors.

Conjoint use of Naphthalene Diimide and Fullerene Derivatives to Generate Organic Semiconductors for n–type Organic Thin Film Transistors

open access: yesChemistryOpen, 2021
In this paper, we described the design, synthesis, and characterization of two novel naphthalene diimide (NDI) core‐based targets modified with terminal fullerene (C60) yield – so called S4 and S5, in which NDI bearing 1 and 2 molecules of C60 ...

Flexible organic thin-film transistor immunosensor printed on a one-micron-thick film

open access: yesCommunications Materials, 2021
Flexible sensors that respond to chemical stimuli in the body are promising for personal health monitoring. Here, a flexible immunosensor is printed onto a 1 μm-thick film, which can detect an immunological protein marker.

Detection Method and Common Characteristics of Waste Solvent from Semiconductor Industry

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
The recycling of organic solvents is a widely discussed topic. The waste organic solvents from thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT-LCD) production is characterized by large quantities, multiple types, and complex compositions.

Organic thin film transistors

open access: yesMaterials Today, 2004
Since John Bardeen, William Shockley, and Walter Brattain invented the world's first transistor in 1947, inorganic field-effect transistors (FETs) have dominated the mainstream microelectronics industry. They are the fundamental building blocks for basic analytical circuits, such as amplifiers, as well as the key elements for digital combinational ...

Biotin-Functionalized Semiconducting Polymer in an Organic Field Effect Transistor and Application as a Biosensor

open access: yesSensors, 2012
This report presents biotin-functionalized semiconducting polymers that are based on fluorene and bithiophene co-polymers (F8T2). Also presented is the application of these polymers to an organic thin film transistor used as a biosensor.
