CD147/Basigin: From Integrative Molecular Hub to Translational Therapeutic Target

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review conceptualizes CD147 as a fundamental “Energy‐Structure Coupler,” physically bridging metabolic flux (via MCTs) with morphogenetic plasticity (via integrins/MMPs) to drive cancer, infection, and autoimmunity. Addressing the “specificity paradox” that limits current translation, the authors chart a strategic roadmap—spanning logic‐gated ...

Microarray detection of human parainfluenzavirus 4 infection associated with respiratory failure in an immunocompetent adult. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A pan-viral DNA microarray, the Virochip (University of California, San Francisco), was used to detect human parainfluenzavirus 4 (HPIV-4) infection in an immunocompetent adult presenting with a life-threatening acute respiratory illness.

Incomplete metalloptysis linger pneumonia after a wedge resection of the lung for organizing pneumonia

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, 2020
A 40‐year‐old man had considered himself to be robust, with the exception of an earlier diagnosis of hepatitis C. He underwent a wedge resection of the lung, at the left upper lobe (LUL), mimicking an anterior mediastinal tumor. A pathology report showed

Nanozyme Microrobots: Programmable Spatiotemporal Catalysis for Targeted Therapy and Diagnostics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review presents nanozyme microrobots as emerging catalytic systems that integrate mobility, external actuation, and adaptive reactivity to achieve precise biochemical functions. By examining mobility‐regulated catalysis, spatial targeting, integrated designs, and translational demonstrations, the article highlights how nanozyme robotics enables ...

TIV vaccination modulates host responses to influenza virus infection that correlate with protection against bacterial superinfection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Background: Influenza virus infection predisposes to secondary bacterial pneumonia. Currently licensed influenza vaccines aim at the induction of neutralizing antibodies and are less effective if the induction of neutralizing antibodies is low and/or the

Impact of Abdominoperineal Resection on Postoperative Male Sexual Function After Minimally Invasive Rectal Cancer Surgery: A Subgroup Analysis From the LANDMARC Study

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Abdominoperineal resection (APR) after minimally invasive rectal cancer surgery was associated with significantly higher rates of erectile and early ejaculatory dysfunction compared with anal‐sparing surgery. Although ejaculatory function showed partial recovery over time, erectile dysfunction persisted up to 12 months postoperatively.
