Organoclay-reinforced polyethersulfone-modified epoxy-based hybrid nanocomposites

Hybrid nanocomposites were successfully prepared by the incorporation of polyethersulfone (PES) and organoclay into epoxy resin. They had higher fracture toughness than the prepared PES/epoxy blend and organoclay/epoxy nanocomposites.

Mechanical Recycling of Silicone Rubber: Influence of Particle Size and Quantity

Silicone rubbers of three different hardnesses were ground into particles and used as fillers in a liquid silicone rubber matrix, whereby the particle size and quantity varied. The mechanical properties were only slightly altered by the addition of ground particles and showed the general possibility of mechanical silicone recycling.
