Functional Organophosphonate Interfaces for Nanotechnology: A Review
ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2017Optimization of interfaces in inorganic-organic device systems depends strongly on understanding both the molecular processes that are involved in surface modification and the effects that such modifications have on the electronic states of the material.

Reaction of Acetylcholinesterase with Organophosphonates
1995Irreversible inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AchE) by organophosphorus agents is rapid, proceeding at rates that, in general, exceed 105–106 M−1-min−1. Numerous instances occur in which the reaction velocity, proceeding at rates greater than 108 M−1-min−1, approaches within an order of magnitude of the diffusion limitation (Berman and Leonard, 1989)

Hydrogen bonding in mixed ligand copper organophosphonates
Chemical Physics Letters, 2003The hydrogen bond linking phenylphosphonic acid dimers in a copper organophosphonate supramolecular complex is investigated using ab initio and density functional theory calculations. Both one- and two-proton structures were modelled and the calculated binding energy values indicated the one-proton model to be more favourable.

We report the impact of geometrical constraint on intramolecular interactions in self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of alkylphosphonates grown on anodically oxidized aluminum (AAO). Molecular order in these films was determined by sum frequency generation (

Synthesis and Properties of New Chromium(II) Organophosphonates
Chemistry of Materials, 1998A new series of chromium(II)-alkylphosphonates, Cr[RPO3]·H2O (R = CH3, C2H5), and chromium(II) ethylenebis(phosphonate), Cr2[O3P−(CH2)2−PO3]·3H2O, have been synthesized by reaction of CrCl2 and the corresponding phosphonic acid in water in the presence of urea.

Novel amine templated three-dimensional zinc-organophosphonates with variable pore-openings
, 2017Five new amine-templated zinc-organophosphonate compounds have been synthesized hydrothermally in the presence of zinc, 1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid (H4hedp) as the diphosphonate ligand and different aliphatic amines. All the five compounds have

Optically Active Polyoxotungstates Bearing Chiral Organophosphonate Substituents
European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, 2009AbstractDivacant Keggin‐type polyoxotungstates [γ‐XW10O36]8– with X = Si or Ge, were functionalized with chiral phosphoryl groups. The hybrid compounds [(R*PO)2(γ‐XW10O36)]4– with R = N‐protected aminoalkyl groups or O‐protected amino acid derivatives, were isolated.
