As‐Needed Versus Regular Medication Use in the Treatment of Allergic Rhinitis in the Pollen Season: A MASK‐air Study

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Using MASK‐air app data from 1042 users across 2690 weeks, this study compared the impact of regular versus as‐needed allergic rhinitis medication on symptom control and treatment satisfaction. Mixed‐effects linear regression models and sensitivity analyses revealed no significant differences between the two approaches, with results for oral ...

Adherence to Treatment in Allergic Rhinitis During the Pollen Season in Europe: A MASK‐air Study

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, Volume 55, Issue 3, Page 226-238, March 2025.
In a study assessing mobile health data, (i) adherence to rhinitis medication was highest for oral antihistamines and lowest for azelastine‐fluticasone, (ii) in weeks of partial adherence, azelastine‐fluticasone was associated with lower levels of reported rhinitis symptoms than other medication classes.

Combined Effects of Moderate Hypoxia and Sleep Restriction on Mental Workload

open access: yesClocks & Sleep
Aircraft pilots face a high mental workload (MW) under environmental constraints induced by high altitude and sometimes sleep restriction (SR). Our aim was to assess the combined effects of hypoxia and sleep restriction on cognitive and physiological ...

Is sleep affected after microgravity and hypergravity exposure? A pilot study

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, Volume 34, Issue 2, April 2025.
Summary Sleep is known to be affected in space travel and in residents of the international space station. But little is known about the direct effects of gravity changes on sleep, if other factors, such as sleep conditions, are kept constant. Here, as a first exploration, we investigated sleep before and after exposure to short bouts of microgravity ...

Steady electrocorticogram characteristics predict specific stress-induced behavioral phenotypes

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2023
IntroductionDepending on the individual, exposure to an intense stressor may, or may not, lead to a stress-induced pathology. Predicting the physiopathological evolution in an individual is therefore an important challenge, at least for prevention.

Comparison of Allergic Rhinitis Treatments on Utilities and Quality of Life: A MASK‐air Study

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, Volume 56, Issue 8, Page 904-913, August 2026.
This mHealth study has shown that fixed combinations of intranasal antihistamines and corticosteroids were associated with higher quality of life than oral antihistamines and intranasal antihistamines. Both intranasal corticosteroids and oral antihistamines were associated with higher quality of life than intranasal antihistamines.

Sabadilla (Schoenocaulon officinale) as a modern green pesticide crop within a novel commercialization framework

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 66, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
Abstract The mounting health, environmental, and resistance challenges posed by synthetic insecticides have renewed interest in botanically derived “green pesticides.” Schoenocaulon officinale (sabadilla), a geophytic perennial native to Mesoamerica with >2000 years of documented insecticidal use, remains undomesticated.

Long-Term Anxiety-like Behavior and Microbiota Changes Induced in Mice by Sublethal Doses of Acute Sarin Surrogate Exposure

open access: yesBiomedicines, 2022
Anxiety disorder is one of the most reported complications following organophosphorus (OP) nerve agent (NA) exposure. The goal of this study was to characterize the long-term behavioral impact of a single low dose exposure to 4-nitrophenyl isopropyl ...
