Orientation Estimation by Error-State Extended Kalman Filter in Quaternion vector space

SICE Annual Conference 2007, 2007
This paper presents an error-state extended Kalman filter with data fusion for orientation estimation. The rotation parameterization is described by quaternion representation. A MARG (magnetic, angular rate, gravity) sensor is used for measurement system.

Harmonic and Killing Vector Fields in Compact Orientable Riemannian Spaces with Boundary

The Annals of Mathematics, 1959
Publisher Summary This chapter presents the results on harmonic and killing vector fields to the case of Riemannian spaces with boundary. The harmonic tensors on such Riemannian spaces are studied, and the relations between curvature and relative Betti numbers in Riemannian spaces with boundary are discussed.

A novel space-vector current regulation scheme for a field-oriented-controlled induction motor drive

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1998
The system performance of an AC variable-speed drive directly depends on the current regulation. In this paper, a novel space-vector current regulation scheme for a field-oriented controller (FOC) is developed. Motor currents are regulated by generating appropriate inverter output voltage vectors via software-implemented comparators and a switching ...

Space Vector Modulation based Field Oriented Control scheme for Brushless DC motors

2011 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Electrical and Computer Technology, 2011
This paper focuses on various aspects of Space Vector Modulation based Field Oriented Control of Trapezoidal Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors. The purpose is to introduce in a concise manner the fundamental theory, main results and practical applications of Field Oriented Control (FOC) for Brushless DC motors. The primary focus is on controlling the

The problem of isotropically orienting N converging vectors in space with application to radiotherapy planning

Physics in Medicine and Biology, 1995
This note presents the solutions to the problem of orienting N converging vectors with a common origin in space with maximal separation for N = 3,4,...,8. With a specific definition of maximal separation, an algorithm was developed and coded which iteratively converges to the solutions. It has been suggested that these orientations might be appropriate

Two-phase VSI inverter using space vector modulation for field oriented DSM drive

International Symposium on Power Electronics Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Automation and Motion, 2012
The paper deals with space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique for vector controlled of two-phase disk synchronous machine (TPDSM). It is supposed that machine is supplied by VSI three-leg inverter. A reference voltage vector located in the irregular hexagon is realized by adjusting six space vectors and two zero vectors.

Voltage oriented control of three phase PWM rectifier with Bus Clamped Space Vector PWM

2015 International Conference on Power, Instrumentation, Control and Computing (PICC), 2015
Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) Rectifiers have gained the popularity during recent years for the ac to dc conversion needs of the industry, customer and power grid sectors. This bidirectional convereter can acts as an ac to dc boost rectifier with near unity power factor at the grid side along with regulated and ripple free dc voltage at the output.

Field oriented control of permanent magnet synchronous motor using predictive space vector modulation

2009 IEEE Symposium on Industrial Electronics & Applications, 2009
This paper deals with two popular and powerful methods in electrical drive applications. The first one is the field oriented control (FOC) and the other one is space vector modulation (SVM). The proposed FOC-SVM method is incorporated with a predictive current control (PCC) technique.

Implementation of Indirect Field Oriented Control Using Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation for the Control of Induction Motor

International Journal on Engineering Technology, 2023
For the efficient speed control of three phase Induction motor, the Vector control or Field oriented control (FOC) technique is used for the Voltage source inverter. In implementing FOC the angular position of the rotor flux vector is to be determined. There are two methods (direct and indirect) of vector control for the evaluation of rotor angle.
