Achieving High ON State Current through Ferroelectric Polarization‐Dependent Interfacial Resistance Switching in Undoped Orthorhombic HfO2 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric tunnel junction devices based on epitaxial undoped ferroelectric HfO2 films demonstrate stable switching endurance of over 106 switching cycles, low write voltages of ±3 V, 16 measured resistance states, and neuromorphic capability.

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

Automating Vascular Biology: An End‐to‐End Automated Workflow for High‐Throughput Blood Vessel‐on‐a‐Chip Production and Multi‐Site Validation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
AngioPlate384 is a 384‐well open‐top platform that automates production of more than 100 miniaturized, perfusable blood vessels embedded in hydrogel and supported by stromal cells. Stromal‐endothelial co‐culture strengthens blood vessel barrier function and yields responses useful for translational planning. Scalable and automation‐ready, it suits drug

Tunable Bioresorbable Scaffolds With Marine Sulfated Polysaccharides for Small‐Caliber Vascular Grafts: A Multi‐Layered Strategy Combining Electrospinning and 4‐Axis Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A multilayered small‐caliber vascular scaffold combining electrospinning and 4‐axis printing is developed and biofunctionalized with marine sulfated polysaccharides from Holothuria tubulosa. The resulting construct exhibits enhanced hemocompatibility, tunable mechanical properties, and supports endothelial and smooth muscle cell adhesion and ...

Evaluating megaprojects: from the “iron triangle” to network mapping [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Evaluation literature has paid relatively little attention to the specific needs of evaluating large, complex industrial and infrastructure projects, often called ‘megaprojects’.

Roadmap to Precision 3D Printing of Cellulose: Rheology‐Guided Formulation, Fidelity Assessment, and Application Horizons

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This critical review presents a comprehensive roadmap for the precision 3D printing of cellulose. Quantitative correlations link ink formulation and rheological properties to print fidelity and final material performance. This framework guides the development of advanced functional materials, from biomedical scaffolds to electromagnetic shielding ...

Dimensional stability of oriented strand boards with external layers made of non-strand chips: Changes in board length [PDF]

open access: yesBioResources, 2017
The dimensional stability of oriented strand boards (OSB) was evaluated in terms of the changes in their length, static bending strength, and modulus of elasticity. Outer layers of these boards were manufactured from particles other than strand chips. The boards were exposed to an air relative humidity of 30%, 65%, or 85%.

Virtual shadow modules and their link invariants

open access: yes, 2012
We introduce an algebra Z[X,S] associated to a pair (X,S) of a virtual birack X and X-shadow S. We use modules over Z[X,S] to define enhancements of the virtual birack shadow counting invariant, extending the birack shadow module invariants to virtual ...
