Elliptical Birefringent Rib‐Channel Chirowaveguides for Quasicircularly Polarized Light Applications in Integrated Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 3, Issue 7, July 2022., 2022
Circular and elliptical polarizations in photonic integrated circuits are difficult to handle due to polarization beating from transverse electric/magnetic polarization decomposition. Engineering a chiral material with a dedicated cross‐sectional shape allows realization of chirowaveguides supporting elliptically polarized guided modes.

Effect of Solvent and Catalyst Types on Stability and Properties of Zinc Phthalocyanine in the Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Materials

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
Hybrid materials, i.e., the organically modified silicates (ORMOSIL) based on zincphthalocyanine (ZnPc) and silica glass matrix were synthesized by the sol-gel method using protic solvents (methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, butanol) and aprotic solvent (N ...

Frontier luminous strategy of functional silica nanohybrids in sensing and bioimaging: From ACQ to AIE

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 3, Issue 1, February 2022., 2022
As a novel multifunctional material, fluorescent silica organic–inorganic nanohybrids (FSNs) have been widely applied in sensing and biomedical applications. AIE luminogens (AIEgens) with tunable color have been introduced in silica nanoparticles to develop ultra‐bright FSNs.

Exploitation of Improved Long‐Term Stability and Enhanced Photoconversion Efficiency of Organic Photovoltaics Using Flexible Transparent Conducting Electrode with Dual Functions of Antireflection and Ultrahigh Moisture Barrier

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 2, Issue 12, December 2021., 2021
Conventional glass/indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate for photovoltaics is attempted to be replaced by combining the double side antireflection (AR)‐ultrahigh barrier (UHB) layer on a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate. The AR‐UHB/PET/AR‐UHB film can maintain long‐term stability of organic photovoltaics (OPVs) and improve saturation current ...
