Strengthening of SLS Glasses by Hybrid Ormosil Coatings
Hybrid ormosil (organic-inorganic) solutions can be used to coat float glass samples in order to increase their strength. The ormosil solution in this present work contains silane, epoxy resin and hardener based on Al-alkoxide. The glass samples were indented at their center in order to create artificial flaws.

Shining Lights on Limits: Optimizing Luminescent Solar Concentrators for Solar Windows
In this article, 92 luminophores are optimized for luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs) that function as a window. The minimum window requirements are an average visibletransmission >55% and color rendering index >70 with a size 30×30×0.5 cm3and the concentration is optimized.

Study of the thermal degradation of bioactive sol-gel coatings for the optimization of its curing process [PDF]
A set of materials has been prepared by sol-gel process containing different quantities of hydroxyapatite (0, 2.5 and 5% HAp w/w) using as silica precursors glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS) and triethoxyvinylsilane (VTES).
