"The connection between distortion risk measures and ordered weighted averaging operators" [PDF]
Distortion risk measures summarize the risk of a loss distribution by means of a single value. In fuzzy systems, the Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) and Weighted Ordered Weighted Averaging (WOWA) operators are used to aggregate a large number of fuzzy ...

A reliable and effective risk prediction model for mortality and morbidity in elderly patients undergoing gastroenterological surgeries was developed and validated. Geriatric‐specific risk factors, including the newly added variables in the NCD registry, along with age, were identified as significant contributors to the model. ABSTRACT Aim As the aging

Randomised Controlled Trials or Structural Models (or Both... or Neither ...)?
The March 2011 Annual Conference of the Centre for the Study of African Economies marked the 25th anniversary of the Centre. This study demonstrates that combining the NCD Risk Calculator with the mFI‐5 enables more precise stratification of postoperative delirium risk in patients undergoing surgery for HCC. Patients classified as high risk by the combined model showed a markedly higher incidence of delirium than those in the intermediate‐ and low‐risk groups.
