Morphometric analyses of humeral shapes in Hadrosaurids (Ornithopoda, Dinosauria)

Senckenbergiana lethaea, 2002
Variation in juvenile and adult humeral morphology between the two subfamilies of Hadrosauridae (Ornithopoda, Dinosauria) was examined. The sample consisted of five hadrosaurine and four lambeosaurine genera and included humeri from 28 to 65 centimeters in length.

A basal iguanodontian (Ornithischia: Ornithopoda) from the Late Cretaceous of South America

Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, 1996
ABSTRACT The ornithopod dinosaur Gasparinisaura cincosaltensis gen. et sp. nov. is described. This new taxon from the Upper Cretaceous of northwest Patagonia (Argentina) represents the first report of basal iguanodontian ornithopods from South America.

A new basal hadrosauroid (Dinosauria: Ornithopoda) from the Turonian of New Mexico

Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, 2010
ABSTRACT MSM P4166, a specimen from the Moreno Hill Formation (middle Turonian) of New Mexico, is described as the holotype of a new genus and species of hadrosauroid dinosaur. Jeyawati rugoculus, gen. et sp. nov., is diagnosed by a rugose texture that covers the entire lateral surface of the postorbital and the presence of a large neurovascular ...

Fabrosauridae, the basal family of ornithischian dinosaurs (Reptilia: Ornithopoda)

Paläontologische Zeitschrift, 1978
In fabrosaurids the upper jaw is flat and the lower jaw is slender so the ’cheek’ teeth are marginal and not inset as is the case in all other ornithischian dinosaurs. The ’cheek’ teeth of fabrosaurids have anteroposteriorly expanded crowns but lack wear surfaces formed by tooth to tooth contact.

New unadorned hadrosaurine hadrosaurid (Dinosauria, Ornithopoda) from the Campanian of North America

Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, 2011
ABSTRACT A new hadrosaurid dinosaur, Acristavus gagslarsoni, is here named on the basis of several autapomorphic characteristics of the frontal, postorbital, and dentary. Acristavus is a member of the newly erected clade Brachylophosaurini, which along with its other members, Brachylophosaurus and Maiasaura, constitutes the earliest hadrosaurine ...

Individual variation in the postcranial skeleton of the Early Cretaceous Iguanodon bernissartensis (Dinosauria: Ornithopoda)

Cretaceous Research, 2017
Abstract At the end of nineteenth century, approximately thirty nearly complete skeletons of the ornithopod dinosaur Iguanodon bernissartensis were discovered in Lower Cretaceous deposits in Bernissart (Belgium). Because most of the specimens are approximately the same size, they offer a unique opportunity for studying individual variation (i.e ...
