PIAS3 CircRNA‐Loaded Lipid Nanoparticles Restore ALOX15 SUMOylation to Suppress Cementoblast Ferroptosis and Attenuate Orthodontically Induced Root Resorption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Orthodontic compression suppresses PIAS3 expression in cementoblasts, impairing ALOX15 SUMOylation and ubiquitin‐mediated degradation, which leads to ALOX15 accumulation, lipid peroxidation, ferroptosis, and osteoclastogenesis. Local delivery of PIAS3 circRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles restores the PIAS3–ALOX15 regulatory pathway, alleviates ...

Maxillary Canine Substitution for a Central Incisor With Severe Root Resorption: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Dentistry
When maxillary canine emerges in an abnormal position, the so-called ectopic eruption, it can lead to issues that require a combination of surgical, orthodontic, pediatric, and restorative treatments. If the ectopic eruption causes damage to other teeth,

Reln mRNA Delivery Drives Neurogenic Bone Regeneration by Orchestrating Schwann Cell‐Mediated Exosomal Trafficking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MSNs serve as a robust vehicle for CRISPRa‐mediated Reln induction, driving bone repair through the establishment of a neurogenic‐supportive microenvironment. ABSTRACT Neurogenic bone regeneration is essential for the effective restoration of bone tissue functionality, while the mechanisms and new strategies underlying neurogenic bone regeneration ...

A self‐retaining mouth prop for intraoral access during periodontal surgery in rat models: A technical note

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
A mouth prop designed to mimic the oral cavity of rats was made that provided stable, self‐retaining retraction, thereby facilitating oral surgery on rodents. Compared to conventional methods, it decreased surgical time, operator fatigue, and slippage. Its use led to higher efficiency and fewer complications and it was cost effective to produce.

Biomimetic Nanomedicine for Aging‐Impaired Bone Regeneration: From Microenvironmental Dysfunction to Precision Therapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Aging disrupts the cellular, immune, vascular, and neural processes required for bone regeneration. This review connects these pathological barriers with biomimetic nanomedicine design, highlighting strategies for cellular rejuvenation, immune modulation, vascular regeneration, and neuro–bone coupling.

Cortical bone distribution in the human mandibular symphysis: Ontogenic and morphometric approaches in archeological context

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The human mandibular symphysis concentrates multiaxial loads during function and remodels throughout growth, but the precise mechanisms underlying cortical bone shape during growth remain relatively unexplored. Approaches based solely on thickness or external cortical contours provide only partial insights and do not capture the functional ...

Lasers in orthodontics

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Dentistry, 2013
ABSTRACTMany types of dental lasers are currently available that can be efficiently used for soft and hard tissue applications in the field of orthodontics. For achieving the desired effects in the target tissue, knowledge of laser characteristics such as power, wavelength and timing, is necessary.

Effects of oropharyngeal neuromuscular stimulation on the volumetric enlarged and reduced tongue base in minipigs

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Hypoglossal nerve or tongue protruding muscle stimulation is a current treatment option for obstructive sleep apnea. Thus, the present study analyzed 3D deformations of the volumetric enlarged and reduced tongue base upon oropharyngeal neuromuscular stimulation.
