Fracture and Deflection of Orthodontic Miniscrews—A Systematic Review
Orthodontic miniscrews (MSs) are used for enhancing orthodontic anchorage either by supporting the teeth of the reactive unit or by obviating the need for the reactive unit altogether. Despite MSs’ popularity, their clinical application is not lacking in complications.

Effect of pH on in vitro biocompatibility of orthodontic miniscrew implants [PDF]
Abstract Background Although the clinical use of miniscrews has been investigated on a large scale, little is known about their biocompatibility. Since low pH can affect corrosion resistance, the aim of this study was to evaluate the cytotoxic effect of orthodontic miniscrews in different pH conditions.

Nonsurgical Correction of Brodie Bite in Mixed Dentition Using Quad‐Helix Expansion: A Case Report
ABSTRACT This case report presents a nonsurgical correction of a dentoalveolar Brodie bite in a mixed dentition patient using a quad‐helix appliance. Mandibular expansion resolved the transverse discrepancy within 3 months, improving occlusion, and eliminating a habitual mandibular shift that had contributed to facial asymmetry.

ABSTRACT Objective The use of narrow‐diameter implants has emerged as a strategy to compensate for the reduced bone dimensions of maxillary lateral incisor agenesis (MLIA). This study integrates finite element analysis (FEA) and systematic review (SR) to assess the biomechanical and clinical viability of implant‐supported crowns in MLIA scenarios ...

Factors Associated with the Success of Orthodontic Miniscrews [PDF]
Background and aims. Nowadays miniscrews are widely used as skeletal anchorage in orthodontics. However, the success rate of miniscrews is less than that of osseointegrated implants. The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate factors influencing the success rate of orthodontic miniscrews. Materials and methods.
