Interface Wettability Transition‐Driven Drug Release and Dual‐Phase Functionalization in Implant Abutment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A temporally controlled drug release coating is developed for abutments using a superhydrophobic coating self‐assembled on mesoporous silica. This surface provides sequential functionality: initial contamination resistance through non‐wetting, followed by controlled drug release via wettability transition.

Index of orthodontic treatment need as a predictor of orthodontic treatment uptake [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 2005
The aim of this study was to evaluate whether the index of orthodontic treatment need (IOTN) could be weighted by using consumer-based sociodental measures to predict the uptake of orthodontic services. The sample consisted of 525 schoolchildren, 11 to 12 years old, from Greater Manchester, United Kingdom.

WTAP‐Mediated m6A Modification Targets the LRP1‐Lipid Metabolism Axis to Regulate Joint Cartilage Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
WTAP drives cartilage regeneration by activating an LRP1‐dependent lipid metabolic program in macrophages, enhancing IL‐10 and TGF‐β secretion to promote chondrogenic differentiation. Leveraging this mechanism, virtual screening identifies LRP1‐targeting compounds that effectively stimulate cartilage repair, highlighting a druggable epigenetic ...

Aptamer‐Directed Porous DNA Nanocomposite Hydrogel for Active Pulp Preservation: Immunomodulation, Stem Cell Recruitment and Reparative Dentinogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an injectable DNA‐based porous hydrogel integrating catechol motifs and targeting aptamers for pulpitis management. Upon in situ crosslinking, the scaffold actively recruits endogenous dental pulp stem cells, restores redox homeostasis, and modulates immune responses.
