Digital Actuation Control of Soft Robotic Origami With Self‐Folding Liquid Crystal Elastomer Hinges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐folding soft‐rigid hybrid robotic origami is enabled by liquid crystal elastomer actuators with embedded Joule heating and closed‐loop digital control. Digitally addressable hinges provide reversible and programmable transitions between distinct folded states while maintaining actuation performance at high cycle counts (over 1500).

A Compressed Sensing Estimation Technique for Doubly Selective Channel in OFDM Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this work, an estimation algorithm based on the compressive sensing (CS) technique is proposed for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system applied to multi-path time-varying channels.

Jacobi Crossover Ensembles of Random Matrices and Statistics of Transmission Eigenvalues

open access: yes, 2011
We study the transition in conductance properties of chaotic mesoscopic cavities as time-reversal symmetry is broken. We consider the Brownian motion model for transmission eigenvalues for both types of transitions, viz., orthogonal-unitary and ...

Facet‐Engineered S‐Scheme Heterostructure With Enhanced Active Sites for Efficient Photocatalytic Degradation of Organic Contaminants

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The facet‐engineered ZnO/Zn3In2S6 heterostructure, dominated by {001} plane coupling, exposes abundant unsaturated Zn sites with elongated Zn─O bonds, directing photoexcited charge carriers along an S‐scheme pathway and suppressing recombination. Enhanced interfacial Zn adsorption toward bisphenol A and methylene blue further synergistically promotes ...

Elimination of Redundancy in Orthogonal Coding Systems

open access: yesБезопасность информационных технологий, 2014
In the article, questions of formation of the new modified set of the orthogonal signals, which mathematical models is the modified set of piecewise and continuous orthogonal functions of Rademakher and Walsh, are considered.

Performance Assessment of OFDM System using Reed-Solomon Codes over Fading Channels

open access: yesJournal of Electrical, Electronics and Informatics, 2018
This paper study the performance of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system over AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels. OFDM performs multi-carrier transmission where all the subcarriers are orthogonal to each other.

Imaging of Biphoton States: Fundamentals and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum states of two photons exhibit a rich polarization and spatial structure, which provides a fundamental resource of strongly correlated and entangled states. This review analyzes the physics of these intriguing properties and explores the various techniques and technologies available to measure them, including the state of the art of their ...

Layered Video Transmission on Adaptive OFDM Wireless Systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2004
Future wireless video transmission systems will consider orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) as the basic modulation technique due to its robustness and low complexity implementation in the presence of frequency-selective channels. Recently,

Quasi‐Static to Supersonic Energy Absorption of Nanoarchitected Tubulanes and Schwarzites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoarchitected energy‐absorptive Tubulanes exhibit record energy absorption under quasi‐static conditions and exceptional inelastic energy dissipation under 750 m s−1 ballistics impact, with high performance spanning strain rates of 12 orders of magnitude.
