Dual‐Band Metasurface‐Based Structured Light Generations for Futuristic Communication Applications

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a single‐cell‐driven dual‐band metasurface platform generating nondiffracting perfect vortex beams for Ultraviolet–Visible wavelengths. The metasurfaces, composed of silicon nitride nanoantennas, maintain high transmission efficiency across dual spectrums.

Single Channel 50 Gbit/s Transmission Over 40 km SSMF Without Optical Amplification and In-Line Dispersion Compensation Using a Single-End PD-Based PDM-SSB-DMT System

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2017
We experimentally demonstrate a single-end photodetector (PD) based polarization-division-multiplexing (PDM) system, in which the single-sideband orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (SSB-OFDM) and discrete multitone (DMT) signals are modulated on ...

Multicarrier Chirp-Division Multiplexing for Wireless Communications [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
We propose a multicarrier chirp-division multiplexing (MCDM) system in which orthogonal chirp waveforms are utilized as frequency subcarriers. Orthogonal characteristics of chirp subcarriers are analyzed in respect to cross-correlation coefficients among subcarriers. Moreover, orthogonal chirp transform (OCT) is developed to implement MCDM systems.

CHANNEL EVALUATION FOR MULTIPLE INPUT MULTIPLE OUTPUT SCHEMES IN STABLE WIRELESS APPLICATIONS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In the forthcoming wireless systems, the data rate necessities have amplified, but the requirement for power efficient and low complication solutions still exists.

Spread-Spectrum Based on Finite Field Fourier Transforms [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Spread-spectrum systems are presented, which are based on Finite Field Fourier Transforms. Orthogonal spreading sequences defined over a finite field are derived. New digital multiplex schemes based on such spread-spectrum systems are also introduced, which are multilevel Coding Division Multiplex.

Investigation on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with index modulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This thesis is devoted to investigating orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with index modulation (OFDM-IM) to improve its bit error rate (BER) performance and spectral efficiency. In OFDM-IM, by selecting a number of subcarriers as active subcarriers to carry constellation symbols, the indices of these active subcarriers may carry ...

Design and Performance of SEFDM Signals with Power Allocation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This work presents preliminary investigations into the use of power allocation for the multi-carrier non-orthogonal spectrally efficient frequency division multiplexing (SEFDM) signalling format.
