Coded orthogonal frequency division multiplex [TV broadcasting]

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1995
Technological evolution and the ever-increasing demand for higher-quality services give broadcasters a strong incentive to completely digitize their broadcasting networks. This digitization, which is already well advanced in many program production areas and transmission links, now has to be extended to complete the last link in the broadcast chain; i ...

Equalization of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signals

1994 IEEE GLOBECOM. Communications: The Global Bridge, 2002
An equalizer is generally a transversal filter which can be used either at the passband or the baseband. Adaptive equalizers adapt filter coefficients to cancel the channel response. We study two different frequency domain adaptive equalizers for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems (OFDM).

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM)

2004
Almost from the beginning of the electrical transmission of messages about 100 years ago, single-carrier methods have been used for transmitting information. The message to be transmitted is impressed on a sinusoidal carrier by applying analog amplitude, frequency or phase modulation techniques.

Constant-envelope orthogonal frequency division multiplexing modulation

Fifth Asia-Pacific Conference on ... and Fourth Optoelectronics and Communications Conference on Communications,, 1999
A constant-envelope signaling approach for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation is proposed. By splitting the standard OFDM complex signals into real and imaginary sections, the proposed approach employs phase modulation in conjunction with signal clipping to endow the transmitted signal with a constant envelope, without ...

Interleaved Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (IOFDM) System

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2004
In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, for every block of K data samples, an overhead of L samples of cyclic prefix (CP) or zero padding (ZP) is added to combat frequency selective channels. The code rate, which is defined as the ratio K/(K+L), is a measure of the efficiency of transmitting user information.
