Deformed Laguerre–Hahn orthogonal polynomials on the real line [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
One derives discrete dynamical systems related to Laguerre–Hahn orthogonal polynomials. One studies deformations of the recurrence relation coefficients of the orthogonal polynomials under a t-dependence on the coefficients of the Riccati differential ...

Polarization‐Dependent Calibration of Nitrogen‐Vacancy Axes for Precise Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Field Vector Determination

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
Using polarization‐controllable pump light as the measurement basis, we break the polarization symmetry of NV center fluorescence and build the correlation between polarization direction and NV axis orientation, achieving high‐precision optical calibration of NV axes.

d-Orthogonal Analogs of Classical Orthogonal Polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2018
Classical orthogonal polynomial systems of Jacobi, Hermite and Laguerre have the property that the polynomials of each system are eigenfunctions of a second order ordinary differential operator. According to a famous theorem by Bochner they are the only systems on the real line with this property.

Inter‐microscope comparability of dental microwear texture data obtained from different optical profilometers: Part II Deriving instrument‐specific correction equations for meta‐analyses using published data

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Dental microwear texture analysis (DMTA) has emerged as a valuable method for investigating the feeding ecology of vertebrates. Over the past decade, three‐dimensional topographic data from microscopic regions of tooth surfaces have been collected, and surface texture parameters have been published for both extant and fossil species.

Dual Functions of Dietary Rubber Seed Oil Supplementation: Enriching N‐3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids and Enhancing Antioxidant Capacity in Pekin Ducks

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

Some Conjectures on Wronskian and Casorati Determinants of Orthogonal Polynomials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we conjecture some regularity properties for the zeros of Wronskian and Casorati determinants whose entries are orthogonal polynomials. These determinants are formed by choosing orthogonal polynomials whose degrees run on a finite set of ...

What Constitutes an Attractive Product‐as‐a‐Service Offer? Examining Consumer Preferences for (Circular) Business Patterns

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Little is known about consumer preferences for combinations of circular business model patterns, despite their potential to benefit the design of product services. This study examines consumer preferences for product‐as‐a‐service offers, combined with circular product attributes, across Sweden and the Netherlands.
