Orthorectification and DSM generation with ALOS-Prism data in urban areas [PDF]
In this paper different methods for deriving digital surface models (DSM) from ALOS Prism three line stereo images are generated and analyzed. The methods used are classical hierarchical stereo matching with forward intersection and two different dense stereo methods.

Morphological Changes and Alterations in Erosion–Accretion Patterns in a Semiarid Brazilian River
Flow regulation by the Castanhão Dam significantly altered discharge dynamics and reduced sediment transport in the Jaguaribe River. Long‐term analysis (1958–2025) reveals attenuated flood peaks, decreased channel migration and progressive downstream stabilisation, highlighting persistent geomorphic adjustments in a regulated semiarid fluvial system ...

The structurally controlled Otūwhero estuary on the SE boundary of Abel Tasman National Park is a small partially filled incised valley. The small size, limited number of fluvial inputs, accessibility and surrounding land use made it an ideal candidate on which to investigate potential climate‐induced estuarine behaviour. Surficial sediment samples and

Georeferenced UAV Localization in Mountainous Terrain Under GNSS-Denied Conditions
In Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-denied environments, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) relying on Vision-Based Navigation (VBN) in high-altitude, mountainous terrain face severe challenges due to geometric distortions in aerial imagery.

Orthorectification of Bridges from High Resolution Satellite Images [PDF]
High-resolution satellite imagery requires high-resolution height reference data to create orthorectified images. High-precision digital surface data and LiDAR data are expensive to acquire quickly and accurately.

Five priorities for integrating remote sensing into biodiversity net gain in England, highlighting the need for transparent, validated, and interpretable approaches that complement, rather than replace, ecological field surveys. Abstract In England, biodiversity net gain (BNG) is a relatively new mandatory approach applied to many development sites ...

Differential sensitivity analysis for the orthorectification of small satellite images
By using differential sensitivity analysis, horizontal and vertical accuracy of orthorectification of monoscopic images taken by small satellites without using Ground Control Points (GCP) is predicted.

Meander‐Bend Erosion Dynamics Along a Gravel‐Bed River: Insights From Short‐Term UAV Monitoring
ABSTRACT Riverbank erosion is a natural process in meandering rivers that contributes to sediment supply and geomorphic diversity, yet it can threaten infrastructure and human activities within the floodplain. Recently, many studies have used high‐resolution remote sensing technologies to measure bank erosion, but they often focus on technical aspects ...
