Intraocular extraskeletal osteosarcoma in a rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus).
An 8-year-and-9-month-old male, lop-eared rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) presented with gradual enlargement of the left eye to 4 × 4 × 4 cm and exophthalmos. The animal died 3 months later, and necropsy was performed. On gross pathology, the intraocular tissue was effaced and occluded by a hard, light-gray mass.

Full‐length 16S and 18S rRNA Oxford Nanopore sequencing of large intestine contents from 30 healthy European brown hares revealed broad gut microbiome diversity. An 80% identity threshold detected substantially greater taxonomic richness than 95%, emphasizing the value of long‐read sequencing in wildlife microbiome research. ABSTRACT The European brown

Colibacillosis in a New Zealand white rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus)
Colibacillosis is a disease caused by Escherichia coli in a variety of animals, including humans. Rabbit colibacillosis is infrequent or with an incipient description in Chile. Here, we describe an E. coli case in a white New Zealand rabbit at an animal facility in Santiago, Chile.

We have found evidence of behavioural barriers for both hybridization and disease transmission between European wildcats and domestic cats. This includes hierarchical interspecies exclusion enforced by wildcats, as well as sexual selection exerted by wildcat females.
