Discriminating Between Adult Mandibles of Oryzaephilus surinamensis and Oryzaephilus mercator Using Setal Brush Length

Abstract The setal brush was identified as a diagnostic characteristic which can be used to distinguish between the mandibles of adult Oryzaephilus surinamensis and O. mercator. The right and left setal brushes of 50 specimens from each species were measured.
