Impact of chemical reaction, viscous dissipation and thermal radiation on MHD flow past an oscillating plate [PDF]
This study analyzes the consequences of first-order chemical reactions, radiation, and viscous dissipation on the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic natural convective flow of a viscous incompressible fluid over a vertically positioned semi-boundless ...

Photothermocapillary Oscillators
We present a new class of tunable light-driven oscillators based on mm-scale objects adsorbed at fluid interfaces. A fixed light source induces photothermal surface tension gradients (Marangoni stresses) that drive nanocomposite hydrogel discs away from a stable apex position atop a drop of water.

Chemical reaction effects on vertical oscillating plate with variable temperature [PDF]
A free convective flow of a viscous incompressible flow past an infinite vertical oscillating plate with variable temperature and uniform mass diffusion is presented here, taking into account the homogeneous chemical reaction of the first-order.

Effect of the Oscillating Electric Field Due to the Oscillating Electric Dipole on Raman Lines
Raman Effect is the measurement of the intensity and wavelength of the inelastically scattered radiation that falls on a molecule. The electric field of the incident radiation polarizes the molecule on which it falls and this leads to the creation of an ...

Multi-Stability of Electromagnetically Induced Transparency in Atom-Assisted Optomechanical Cavities
We study how an oscillating mirror affects the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) of an atomic ensemble, which is confined in a gas cell placed inside a micro-cavity with an oscillating mirror in one end.

In this paper, the regularization method of S. A. Lomov is generalized to integro-differential equations with rapidly oscillating coefficients and with a rapidly oscillating right-hand side.

Absence of Floquet scattering in oscillating non-Hermitian potential wells
Scattering of a quantum particle from an oscillating barrier or well does not generally conserve the particle energy owing to energy exchange with the photon field, and an incoming particle-free state is scattered into a set of outgoing (transmitted and ...

Lyapunov Modes and Time-Correlation Functions for Two-Dimensional Systems [PDF]
The relation between the Lyapunov modes (delocalized Lyapunov vectors) and the momentum autocorrelation function is discussed in two-dimensional hard-disk systems. We show numerical evidence that the smallest time-oscillating period of the Lyapunov modes

Antiperiodic oscillations [PDF]
The investigation of regular and irregular patterns in nonlinear oscillators is an outstanding problem in physics and in all natural sciences. In general, regularity is understood as tantamount to periodicity. However, there is now a flurry of works proving the existence of "antiperiodicity", an unfamiliar type of regularity.
