Self‐Oscillating Helix Showing Amplified Winding and Unwinding Motions
Advanced Materials, EarlyView.The hydrogel helix exhibits autonomous oscillation synchronized with the Ru(bpy)32+/3+ redox cycle in the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction. Periodic winding–unwinding accompanies magnified motion along one direction within the gel phase. ABSTRACT Helical architectures in nature amplify motion via winding–unwinding.
