Plate Pulsed S-Band Oscillator

IETE Journal of Research, 1968
ABSTRACTIn this paper the measurements made on the plate pulsed re-entrant cavity oscillator (using RCA pencil tube type 5893) operating in S-band (2700–2900 MHz) with its design and development for the pulsed radar transponder are presented.

Elimination of oscillations in plates

Soviet Applied Mechanics, 1974
We consider the optimal control of a dynamic process in a plate. As the optimality criterion we take the minimum time for extinguishing an arbitrary type of oscillation. We assume that the expenditures of energy of the control device are limited; for the solution of the problem we take the apparatus of Krein's theory of l-moments.

Vibration of Damped Plate‐Oscillator Systems

Journal of Engineering Mechanics, 1986
A classical method for obtaining the exact natural frequencies, natural modes, orthogonality relation and response due to arbitrary loading of undamped beam-oscillator systems presented earlier by the writers is extended to viscously damped plate-oscillator systems.

On the Nonlinear Oscillations of Viscoelastic Plates

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1955
Abstract Equations of motion of the three-dimensional finite oscillation theory are integrated across the plate thickness to obtain a second-order theory of oscillations for plates. For this purpose, components of the displacement vector are assumed to have power-series expansions in the transverse co-ordinate, and a systematic ...

Theory of oscillation type viscometers V: Disk oscillating between fixed plates

Zeitschrift für angewandte Mathematik und Physik ZAMP, 1959
A disk oscillating between two fixed plates is considered as an instrument for absolute measurements of viscosity. The existing theories relating the viscosity to the decrement of oscillation are improved by calculating the effects of the edge. This is done by assuming that the separation between the plates is small compared with both the radius of the

The Magnetostrictive Oscillation of Quartz Plates

Journal of Applied Physics, 1937
Small quartz plates were vibrated by mechanical impact from magnetostrictive rods cut to the proper lengths. Sand scattered on the plates gathered at the nodal lines and produced figures similar to those on Chladni plates. The quartz plates were then vibrated in an electrical field produced by the same vacuum tube circuit which was used to vibrate the ...

Oscillating layer thickness and vortices generated in oscillation of finite plate

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2016
Moving mesh strategy is used in the model of flow induced by oscillating finite plate through software – COMSOL Multiphysics. Flow is assumed to be laminar and arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian method is used for moving mesh in the simulation. Oscillating layer thickness is found which is different from the analytical solution by 2 to 3 times depends on ...
