Some oscillation criteria for difference equations

open access: yesComputers & Mathematics with Applications, 2000
Consider the difference equation \[ x_{n+1}- x_n+p_nx_{n-k}=0, \quad n=0,1,2, \dots\tag{1} \] where \(\{p_n\}\) is a sequence of nonnegative real numbers and \(k\) is a positive integer. New sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all solutions of (1) are established.

Oscillation Criteria for Second-Order Nonlinear Dynamic Equations on Time Scales

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
This paper is concerned with oscillation of second-order nonlinear dynamic equations of the form on time scales. By using a generalized Riccati technique and integral averaging techniques, we establish new oscillation criteria which handle some cases ...

Oscillation Criteria for Certain Nonlinear Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1999
The author studies the second-order ordinary differential equation \[ x''(t)+p(t)f(x(t))g(x'(t))=0,\tag{1} \] and the delay differential equations \[ x''(t)+p(t)f(x(\tau (t)))g(x'(t))=0\tag{2} \] and \[ x''(t)+p(t)f(x(t),x(\tau (t)))g(x'(t))=0 \tag{3} \] for \(t\geq t_0\).

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

Hierarchical Multi‐Material Architectures With Gradient Design for Dynamic‐Range Flexible Tactile Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Hierarchical multi‐material TPMS lattices are engineered as flexible tactile sensors by combining soft and stiff elastomeric layers with a conformal conductive coating. The bilayer architecture delivers sensitivity at low pressures while maintaining a broad detectable range under large loads, enabling reliable pressure and vibration monitoring for ...

Oscillation criteria for second-order nonlinear perturbed differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
In this article, we study the oscillation of solutions to the nonlinear second-order differential equation $$ \Big(r(t)\psi(x(t))|x'(t)|^{\alpha-1}x'(t)\Big)' +P(t,x'(t))\psi(x(t))+Q(t,x(t))=0. $$ We obtain sufficient conditions for the oscillation

OPERA neutrino oscillation search: status and perspectives

open access: yes, 2015
OPERA is a long-baseline experiment at the Gran Sasso laboratory (LNGS) designed to search for $\nu_\mu \rightarrow \nu_\tau$ oscillations in appearance mode. OPERA took data from 2008 to 2012 with the CNGS neutrino beam from CERN.

Stable Imitation of Multigait and Bipedal Motions for Quadrupedal Robots Over Uneven Terrains

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
How are quadrupedal robots empowered to execute complex navigation tasks, including multigait and bipedal motions? Challenges in stability and real‐world adaptation persist, especially with uneven terrains and disturbances. This article presents an imitation learning framework that enhances adaptability and robustness by incorporating long short‐term ...
