Oscillation Suppression in the Sense Mode of a High-Q MEMS Gyroscope Using a Simplified Closed-Loop Control Method

open access: yesSensors, 2018
The oscillation of the sense mode of the micro-machined Coriolis vibratory gyroscope (MCVG) with high quality factor (Q) is analyzed in this study and the corresponding force feedback control scheme is presented to suppress this oscillation.

An Improved Quantitative Analysis Method of Oscillation Mode for DFIG-Based Wind Power Base With LCC-HVDC Transmission Considering Frequency Coupling Characteristic

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The line-commutated converter-based high-voltage direct-current (LCC-HVDC) transmission has become one of the main forms to deliver wind power in China. However, due to the connections of a large number of power electronic devices (PEDs), there emerges a

Simplified Modelling of Oscillation Mode for Wind Power Systems

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2021
Wind turbine generators can be operated in various types of system configurations. Once the configurations change, the system oscillation mode shapes change accordingly.

Summation of Powers in Open Resonator with Slotted Coupling Elements

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2021
The paper analyzes the summation of the powers of two sources in a hemispherical open resonator (OR) during its tuning. The first higher axially asymmetric TEM10q oscillation mode is excited in the resonator.

Oscillation modes of microtubules [PDF]

open access: yesBiology of the Cell, 2004
Abstract Microtubules are long, filamentous protein complexes which play a central role in several cellular physiological processes, such as cell division transport and locomotion. Their mechanical properties are extremely important since they determine the biological function. In a recently published experiment [Phys. Rev. Lett.

Topological Modes in Stellar Oscillations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2022
Abstract Stellar oscillations can be of topological origin. We reveal this deep and so far hidden property of stars by establishing a novel parallel between stars and topological insulators. We construct an Hermitian problem to derive the expression of the stellar acoustic–buoyant frequency S of nonradial adiabatic pulsations.
