Oscillation Theory and Renormalized Oscillation Theory for Jacobi Operators
For the difference operator \[ (Hu)(n)= a(n)u(n+1)- a(n-1)u(n-1)- b(n)u(n) \] the dimension of the spectral projection \(P_{(-\infty,\lambda)}(H)\) is expressed in terms of nodes of any solution of the equation \(Hu=\lambda u\). For example: if \(\lambda\) is an eigenvalue of \(H\), then \[ \text{dim Ran }P_{(-\infty,\lambda)} (H)=\#(u_+(\lambda ...

Control of Oscillation Patterns in a Symmetric Coupled Biological Oscillator System [PDF]
A chain of three-oscillator system was constructed with living biological oscillators of phasmodial slime mold, Physarum polycehalum and the oscillation patterns were analyzed by the symmetric Hopf bifurcation theory using group theory.

Baryon Acoustic Oscillation Theory and Modelling Systematics for the DESI 2024 results [PDF]
This paper provides a comprehensive overview of how fitting of Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO) is carried out within the upcoming Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument’s (DESI) 2024 results using its DR1 dataset, and the associated systematic error ...

Oscillation and non-oscillation criterion for Riemann–Weber type half-linear differential equations
By the combination of the modified half-linear Prüfer method and the Riccati technique, we study oscillatory properties of half-linear differential equations.

5A2--Theory of the optical parametric oscillator [PDF]
A formalism for describing optical parametric oscillation is developed. The theory is applied to the derivation of the oscillation threshold condition, power output, the Manley-Rowe conditions, index matching, and frequency ...

Kinetic Theory of Coupled Oscillators [PDF]
We present an approach for the description of fluctuations that are due to finite system size induced correlations in the Kuramoto model of coupled oscillators. We construct a hierarchy for the moments of the density of oscillators that is analogous to the BBGKY hierarchy in the kinetic theory of plasmas and gases.

Comparison theorems for oscillation and non-oscillation of perturbed Euler type equations [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to present two comparison theorems. These results enable to describe the oscillation behavior of second order Euler type half-linear differential equations with perturbations in both terms using previously obtained oscillation ...
