Kamenev Type Oscillatory Criteria for Linear Conformable Fractional Differential Equations

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2019
Using integral average method and properties of conformable fractional derivative, new Kamenev type oscillation criteria are given firstly for conformable fractional differential equations, which improve known results in oscillation theory.

Historical Foundation and Practical Guideline for Ferroelectric Switching Kinetic Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The P and U pulses in the conventional PUND measurements are not identical because of the interplay between switching current and the measurement circuit components. This circuit effect can lead to a shift in polarization transients and misinterpreted physics in the switching kinetics.

Impact of Neutrino Oscillation Measurements on Theory Impact of Neutrino Oscillation Measurements on Theory

open access: yes, 2020
. Neutrino oscillation data had been a big surprise to theorists, and indeed they have ongoing impact on theory.

Theory of laser oscillation in resonators with photorefractive gain [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A theory for oscillation in an optical resonator with photorefractive gain was formulated. The threshold conditions for the oscillation were also obtained.

Engineering Pendant Group Chemistry to Control Hydrophilicity and Oxidative Degradation of Thioketal‐Based Biomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thioketal (TK) polymers are promising biomaterials due to their selective biodegradation by reactive oxygen species (ROS), but they respond slowly to physiologic doses of ROS. Here, the TK bond's pendant groups are modified to enhance the degradation of TK‐based implants both in vitro and in vivo.

Non-oscillation of linear differential equations with coefficients containing powers of natural logarithm

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
We study linear differential equations whose coefficients consist of products of powers of natural logarithm and general continuous functions. We derive conditions that guarantee the non-oscillation of all non-trivial solutions of the treated type of ...

Asymptotic and oscillatory behavior of higher order quasilinear delay differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2012
In the paper, we offer such generalization of a lemma due to Philos (and partially Staikos), that yields many applications in the oscillation theory. We present its disposal in the comparison theory and we establish new oscillation criteria for $n-$th ...

Glissile Interphase Boundaries Enable Collective Phase Switching in Epitaxial Polar Oxides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A triple point is identified in the phase diagram of low‐symmetry epitaxial BiFeO3 thin film along with an extended regime of phase competition associated with a flattened energy landscape. The electromechanical response is shown to be governed by correlated interphase‐boundary motion, including scale‐free avalanche dynamics characteristic of systems ...

Anomalous Hall conductivity from the dipole mode of spin-orbit-coupled cold-atom systems

open access: yes, 2011
Motivated by recent experiments by Lin et al., [ Nature (London) 471 83 (2011)] that engineered spin-orbit coupling in ultracold mixtures of bosonic atoms, we study the dipole oscillation of trapped spin-orbit-coupled noncondensed Bose and Fermi gases ...

Oscillation constant for modified Euler type half-linear equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
Applying the modified half-linear Prufer angle, we study oscillation properties of the half-linear differential equation $$ [ r(t) t^{p-1} \Phi(x')]' + \frac{s(t)}{t \log^pt} \Phi(x) = 0, \quad \Phi(x)=|x|^{p-1}\hbox{sgn} x.
