Oscillator strengths in porphyrins
Chemical Physics Letters, 1971Abstract Oscillator strengths for D 4h and D 2h porphyrins are calculated using the dipole gradient formulation and compared with calculations employing the dipole length operator. The effect of configuration interaction is also discussed.

Oscillator strengths for helium
Canadian Journal of Physics, 1970Oscillator strengths for 95 singlet and triplet s–p and p–d transitions in neutral helium have been calculated using analytical wave functions of the "frozen-core" type. Both length and velocity formulations of the oscillator strengths have been employed. Our results are generally in good agreement with the most accurate values available.

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1988
Abstract Accurate multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock (MCHF) ƒ-values are compared with the most reliable theoretical values obtained by other theories and recent laser beam experiments. For the 2 3 S-2 3 P transition in Li II, MCHF results are in excellent agreement with those of Schiff et al.

By a combination of hook and emission measurements oscillator strengths of 122 Fe I lines have been determined without any assumption concerning the plasma state. For the hook and emission measurements, a graphite furnace and a hollow cathode have been used as light sources.

Computing Oscillator Strengths and Related Properties
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2007Based on recent monographies by Yngve ÖHRN, the central role of transition dipole moments for determining molecular properties is highlighted. In particular, the focus is placed on oscillator strengths, polarizabilities, and hyperpolarizabilities.

Cesium oscillator strengths are calculated using oneelectron wave flunctions. These functions are numerical solutions of the Schrodinger equation with a central, symmetric potential and with the spin-orbit term. The potential is chosen so that the binding energies of the lowest ten levels agree with spectroscopic values to 3%; the next 30 levels agree ...

Theorem for Generalized Oscillator Strengths
Physical Review, 1958A theorem for generalized oscillator strengths is presented. The theorem should prove useful in the interpretation of experimental and theoretical electronic collision cross sections.

Optical phonons with a negative oscillator strength
Physics-Uspekhi, 2020Abstract We discuss the nature of additional (redundant from the point of view of selection rules) optical phonons observed in most crystals with ion–covalent bonds between atoms, including in their solid solutions.

Collision strengths and oscillator strengths for Fe IX
Atomic Data and Nuclear Data Tables, 1991Abstract Collision strengths and oscillator strengths are calculated for Fe IX. The three configurations 3 s 2 3 p 6 , 3 s 2 3 p 5 3 d , and 3 s 2 3 p 5 4 s were included in the computations. The data can be applied to the analysis of spectral lines in the solar spectrum and laboratory sources. The collision calculations were executed with the
