Solar Oscillator Strengths as a Diagnostic Tool [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1990
We briefly review the Kiev program for determining oscillator strengths of Fraunhofer lines from the optical solar spectrum, which has recently resulted in a compilation of solar gf-values for 1958 lines from 40 chemical elements (Gurtovenko and Kostik 1989).

Quantifying Subsurface Weak in‐Plane Magnetization of Mixed Phase BiFeO3 by Scanning Nitrogen Vacancy Magnetometry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We use scanning nitrogen vacancy magnetometry to directly image the weak in‐plane magnetic moments in mixed phase BiFeO3 at the nanoscale and quantify the local magnetic moments to be 18.8±2.0 μB/nm2 in the rhombohedral‐like phase and 1.5±0.6 μB/nm2 in the well‐known non‐magnetic tetragonal‐like phase.

Radiation-induced modification of optical parameters and oscillator strength in PEO/ultrafine iron composites

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics
Conductive polymer composites are among the most widely used materials in modern industries, whether electronic or optical, due to their electrical, thermal, and optical properties, which allow them to be used in their appropriate functions.

Si‐Doped Nanocrystalline Diamond as Highly Sensitive Luminescence Thermometer for the Physiological Temperature Range

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, diamonds with negative charged silicon‐vacancy (SiV−) centers have been designed for use as thermometers in biomedical applications. Multiparametric analysis of the emission characteristics of the SiV− centers provides extraordinary sensitivity for temperature detection in the physiological temperature range.

Research on Design Features and Vibration Characteristics of Self-excited Hydraulic Oscillator

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2020
The structural parameters of the self-excited hydraulic oscillator such as shoulder distance, split distance, loop width and side wall angle are the direct factors that affect its vibration characteristics.

Sulfur‐Free Ultrahigh‐Refractive‐Index Polymers Enabled by Densely Packed Oxygen‐Bridged Dibenzofuran‐Cardo Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A new class of sulfur‐free, oxygen‐bridged dibenzofuran‐based polymers is developed for ultrahigh‐refractive‐index applications. The rigid π‐extended architecture and enhanced molecular polarizability enable exceptional optical performance, combining refractive indices up to 1.848 with high Abbe numbers and full visible transparency. This work offers a

Rational Design of Organic Chromophores for Simultaneously Trig‐gering Redox Imbalance and Tracking Organelles in Biological Sys‐tems Under Near‐Infrared Light Irradiation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
TOC represents the synthesis of theory‐guided novel near‐infrared (NIR) light‐absorbing organic photosensitizers (OPS) enabling redox‐induced tumor phototherapy and single‐cell organelle tracking. ABSTRACT The design of organic photosensitizers that operate efficiently in the near‐infrared (NIR) region remains challenging due to the need to balance ...

Electron energy spectrum and oscillator strengths of quantum transitions in double quantum ring nanostructure driven by electric field

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2018
The effect of homogeneous electric field on the energy spectrum, wave functions of electron and oscillator strengths of intra-band quantum transitions in a double cylindrical quantum ring (GaAs/Al_{x}Ga_{1-x}As) is studied within the approximations of ...

Oscillator strengths for lines of Ni I

open access: yesJournal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards Section A: Physics and Chemistry, 1965
Relative intensities and oscillator strengths for 888 lines of NiI between 2800 and 9900 Å from several investigations have been reduced to the absolute scale of Corliss and Bozman and critically compared. New observations of faint lines in the visible and infrared portions of the spectrum are included.

A Naphthalimide‐Based NIR‐Emissive AIE Photosensitizer for Synergistic Apoptosis/Ferroptosis‐Mediated Antitumor Therapy and Broad‐Spectrum Bacterial Inactivation With Rapid Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An ionic naphthalimide AIE photosensitizer (PS), TPAPV‐NIM‐M, anchors to cellular and bacterial membranes, emits in the far‐red/near‐infrared (NIR) region, and efficiently generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) under white light. Its membrane‐localized photodynamic action drives apoptosis/ferroptosis‐mediated tumor suppression and broad‐spectrum ...
